How much is admission?

The table below uses the Ministry ticket portal checked on 25 October 2026. These amounts are monument admission, not the price of a tour with transport. The portal distinguishes adults, children aged 7–13, foreign visitors and Moroccans or residents. It also announces free admission for Moroccans on Fridays and the first day of national and religious holidays; check the conditions before travelling.

Why do opening times differ?

The Ministry portal displays 9 am–5 pm, while the Meknès tourism council states 8:30 am until one hour before sunset. We flag the difference rather than treat either listing as a guarantee of that day’s hours or last admission. Confirm directly with the site and leave enough time to explore and exit before closing.

Admission only or a day trip?

An entry ticket and a day trip are different products: a day trip from Fes or Meknes may or may not include entrance. Check what is included before booking so you do not pay for entry twice. The Ministry’s price in MAD remains the reference for entry.

Before you buy: check the whole visit

Start with the date and the people travelling, rather than the first price you see. Match children to the stated age category, check any eligibility for a different admission tariff and make sure your transport plan leaves enough visiting time. Keep entry costs separate from taxi, guiding or excursion costs when comparing options. An attractive headline price is not a useful comparison if the inclusions are different.
